Add patient care and emergency transport to the job description of security officer Bangaly Bilivogui who works at Brockton Hospital, the oldest (founded in 1896) and largest inpatient facilities in the Brockton, Massachusetts area.
Officer Bilivogui, who is known as “Fode” to associates and friends was on routine patrol when he noted that a person pulled into the emergency room parking lot and was attempting to help a young teen into the ER for treatment. The child was unable to walk and he was about to double over in pain and fall to the ground. Fode immediately came to the aid of the driver, who was the mother of the child, and gently picked the boy up and carried him into an emergency room treatment room.
Fode’s attentiveness to duty and fast thinking helped calm the situation and prevent further injury to the victim. In a letter written to SecurAmerica’s Massachusetts regional office, the head ER nurse wrote, “It was wonderful to see such compassion exhibited by a non-healthcare provider. The mother of the victim approached me and was extremely thankful and appreciative for Fode’s help.”
Fode’s actions were commended in a special ceremony where he received a Legendary Service award for his actions. He certainly understands how to deliver “Legendary Patient Care!”
