Jewell Lane is no stranger to accolades. Since his selection as SecurAmerica's Account Supervisor at Atlanta's trendy and increasingly popular state-of-the art Tech Village, Jewell has received numerous commendations from employees and staff – even being spotlighted in the Atlanta Tech Village Newsletter. Jewell has always taken personal ownership of site security and safety at the Village was no exception. On one afternoon, Facilities Manager Thomas Paz received a telephone call from an accountant who was working alone in the building. The accountant was concerned about a suspicious person who was cruising the building and didn't know what he should do. After Paz instructed the employee to call 911, he called Jewell Lane to see if he might be in the building's vicinity. It turned out that Jewell was actually on a day off preparing to go on vacation but when Jewell was informed of what was going on at "his" Village, he immediately responded to the scene. Once there, he conducted a detailed security sweep of the building and surrounding area, checked the security of all doors and conducted an interior patrol of the building to make absolutely sure that the suspicious person had left the area.
Jewell was presented with SecurAmerica's Legendary Service Award which read, in part, "Thank you for going above and beyond the call of duty. You truly take ownership of the Village and care very deeply for the members and their safety. Your professionalism, friendliness and dedication is unmatched and is the epitome of service excellence at its best." The Atlanta Regional SecurAmerica leadership team and his many friends at Atlanta Tech Village presented Jewell with the award along with a $50 gift card. To them, Supervisor Lane is a "TRUE JEWEL" and someone who delivers legendary service 7 days a week!
