SecurAmerica is a newly created, privately held premium contract security services firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. Current Operations include the Northeastern, Southern and Central Regions with operations beginning later this year in the Western United States.
To understand where SecurAmerica is today and where we will take the company in the future, it is important to understand its roots. In 1979, Frank Argenbright invested $500 in a fledgling security company in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Argenbright grew that company, eventually known as AHL Services, Inc., into a multinational company that provided outsourced business solutions to Fortune 500 companies around the world.
AHL operated 113 offices across the United States and 117 offices in Europe. AHL combined management, technology, labor and operational processes to provide high quality services, including security services, marketing services, aviation passenger services, facility services and operational support services. In 2000, AHL sold its security company, Argenbright Security, to Securicor, a London-based and publicly traded contract security company, which in 2003, was taken private.
In 2001, Mr. Argenbright founded Air Serv Corporation to provide outsourced business support solutions to aviation clients. The company was founded on the premise of "going back to the old way of doing business by giving the best service possible at the most affordable cost." This premise served as Mr. Argenbright’s model of success throughout his entire career. The company has since leveraged its close and proven partnerships with the airline industry to attract clients and has grown to become a well respected leader in the aviation services industry with annual revenues in excess of $100 million
In 2005, Frank Argenbright founded SecurAmerica with a goal of creating a premium American and privately owned contract security services firm dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service. The term, "Premium" and "highest level of customer service" are attributes that fewer and fewer companies possess. Mergers and acquisitions over the last five years in the security industry have created a landscape of foreign-owned security companies that dominate the industry. In addition to the trend away from American ownership, the list of significant privately held security companies is smaller than ever. Lastly, the level of customer service demonstrated by security providers today is believed by many to be at an all time low. SecurAmerica will be a changing force in the industry. SecurAmerica is proud to be American owned and privately-held. We are fanatical about providing "legendary" customer service based on the unique needs and organizational culture of each client. We are committed to providing a level of service to our customers that is unmatched in the contract security industry.
American ownership is important to the culture and focus of our company. It provides our executive, management, support and account service teams with a perspective on what they are securing. They are securing the assets of your company which, in turn, impacts this nation’s homeland defense.
Private ownership is also important to the culture of our company. This allows us to make decisions that are in the best interests of our customers and our employees and are not solely based on delivering financial performance to Wall Street. Many publicly traded security companies are handcuffed by tremendous debt brought on by multiple acquisitions of other security companies. All too often, these companies cannot invest in initiatives that do not show an immediate return to their investors. Decisions are made based first on how they affect tomorrow’s stock price rather than based on the best interests of the company’s customers and employees.
A culture of customer service is also a foundational element of the SecurAmerica culture. It is this culture that drives our Human Resources Managers to search for the very best service-minded individuals.
It is this culture that drives our service teams to create an atmosphere where
Premium service is viewed not as the exception but as the norm. This foundation of SecurAmerica is important in establishing the building blocks that shape our company today and will ensure market leadership in the future. We are proud of this heritage and how it will help us reinvent the principles of service, pride and extraordinary results. We hope we have an
opportunity to demonstrate the incredible results we can bring to your security program.
In addition to the corporate and support staffs described here, SecurAmerica is also supported by the shared resources of our sister company, Air Serv Corporation, which has established operations in 18 cities and over 4300 employees. The Air Serv team provides aviation support services and transportation services to Federal Express, Delta Airlines, Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, Lufthansa, Northwest Airlines, British Airways and United Airlines, among others. Air Serv offices are located in Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Boston, Chicago, Memphis, Cincinnati, Dallas, Denver, Newark, Lexington, Salt Lake City, Reno, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
These offices provide robust operational support to the services provided in that market including recruiting, screening, selection, training and operational account management.
