Ernie Patterson has a significant track record of growing international businesses throughout his career. Most recently, Ernie served as the Chairman of OmniServ, the International Aviation Division of ABM Industries. During his tenure at OmniServ, the business grew substantially from $5 million sales per annum to greater than $150 million per annum in a four-year period.
Ernie has a strong history of experience in the service industry; his career developed with the BET Plc Group, which by the mid-1990s employed 100,000 people worldwide with over $2.5 billion sales per annum in the B2B Support Services Sector, reaching the Group's Main Board as Executive Director and CEO of United Transport, their Global Supply Chain business. His Aviation Sector experience includes the Chairmanship of East Midlands and Bournemouth Airports, while CEO of the National Express Group; he also was Chairman of Gatwick Express, when the National Express Group won that Rail Franchise following Rail Privatization in the UK.
He then followed with the role of CEO of AHL Europe, an Argenbright Company, which owned ADI Ltd, an Airports and Airlines security company, which during the 5-year period of his stewardship and before the sale of the business to G4S (Securicor) in 2000, tripled its turnover with operations on most of the major airports in the UK, Germany, and France, as well as Jersey and the Scottish Highlands and Islands airports.
